Our Nursing Residency Program
The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is an evidence-based program to help ensure that nurses within their first year of employment successfully transition from student to nurse. The NRP provides an enriched experience with additional training and education by experts, in a formal setting. Meeting on a monthly basis, nurses and our NRP Coordinator discuss areas of concern, resources, tips and celebrate milestones. St. James Hospital NRP Coordinator, Jay Monahan, PhD, is equipped with monthly trainings and resources to aid nursing residents navigate their first year of employment
