UR Medicine/St. James Hospital is an affiliate of the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), one of the nation's leading academic medical centers. As one of three affiliates in New York's Southern Tier, St. James Hospital is located in Hornell, New York (Steuben County). St. James provides a range of inpatient and outpatient services, a 24-hour emergency department, general surgery, orthopedics and rehab services, imaging and lab services, a walk-in clinic, and a host of outpatient clinics through its URMC affiliation, including cardiology, ENT, neurosurgery, neuroscience, gastroenterology, and more. Hornell is within two hours of most major cities in western, central and southern New York. The nearby Finger Lakes provide many recreational and nature activities, including two state parks and four county parks nearby.
