Parent Mindfulness Program
This program is a series of six, 2-hour sessions offered each year in the spring at the University of Rochester. The group-based program focuses on in-the-moment strategies to reduce stress using mindfulness. Mindfulness focuses on acceptance and also involves learning ways to take control of your mind, instead of letting your thoughts run away with you. Sessions will involve mindful meditation and brief movement practice (e.g., stretching, walking).
To participate in this program you must have a child diagnosed with ASD (any age) and be able to attend and participate in all 6 sessions. Seating is limited to 13 participants.
