How to Apply

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for admission to the fellowship program, you must have completed a general surgical residency or be beyond post-graduate year 3 and have a guaranteed position to complete your general surgical training.

Application Process

Our program participates in the National Resident Matching Program. We only accept application packages through SAFAS, available at your medical school dean's office.

We do not require a minimum USMLE score, although all scores must be passing. There is no requirement regarding length of time since medical school graduation.

Requirements:

• Completed SAFAS application
• Three letters of recommendation: one from the department chair or your General Surgery Program Director; the others should come from surgical faculty members.
• USMLE scores
• ABSITE scores
• Personal Statement
• Current CV or resume

We use email to communicate with applicants, including invitations for interviews. It is critical that applicants check their email frequently during the application period.
