About Us
Located on the University of Rochester Medicine health sciences campus, the Biological Supply Center serves as a one-stop laboratory supply store with purchasing, receiving, storage, and recycling services. Researchers benefit from discounted pricing, access to trusted scientific vendors, secure cold-storage handling, and dedicated staff who help coordinate orders, track back-orders, and manage product availability. In addition to facilitating orders for a wide range of laboratory supplies, the center maintains a limited inventory of select high-demand products for immediate access.
Services include:
- Discounted pricing through institutional purchasing programs
- Access to trusted and vetted scientific vendors
- Centralized ordering, receiving, and delivery coordination
- Additional quality-assurance review of incoming orders
- Monitoring of backorders and product availability
- On-site inventory of select high-demand and cold-storage products
