The University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), including Strong Memorial Hospital and Eastman Dental Center, and URMC’s affiliated entities, Highland Hospital, Jones Memorial Hospital, Thompson Health, Noyes Memorial Hospital, St. James Hospital, UR Medicine Home Care, the Highlands at Brighton and the Highlands Living Center (collectively referred to as the UR Medicine Affiliates) are committed to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and conducting business in compliance with state and federal regulations. As a contractor or vendor, you are instrumental to these efforts. An essential element of our collaboration is your compliance with compliance policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
As a provider of both Medicare and Medicaid services, URMC and the UR Medicine Affiliates are required to maintain an effective compliance program, consisting of policies and procedures designed to comply with state and federal regulations governing healthcare operations and to ensure the detection and prevention of fraud, waste and abuse. Moreover, we are required to notify you of your responsibilities with respect to our compliance program.
We expect that all contractors and vendors adhere to our organization’s high standards in carrying out the work that you do on behalf of URMC and the UR Medicine Affiliates. This website serves as a resource for vendors and contractors to access information regarding URMC and the UR Medicine Affiliate compliance programs, expectations of vendors and contractors, and other important notices and information.
