Pediatric Dentistry
Make Appointments & Get Care
Overview
Some parents don’t think about dentistry for their toddlers, but even baby teeth need to be cared for to prevent problems from developing. Some kids can't eat or sleep, and some even miss school, because their teeth hurt or they develop an infection.
That’s why the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend a child’s first dental visit when they turn one year old, and then every six months for checkups and other needed services.
Eastman Dental and the University Dental Faculty Group have an entire team of experts to serve you.
Make an AppointmentUR Medicine's Approach
We understand if your child is nervous or afraid to visit a dentist. We strive to make the experience positive by welcoming parents to sit with and support their child during appointments. To help young or anxious children, we can use laughing gas and medicines.
We also can treat children in the operating room at Strong Memorial Hospital with the help of pediatric anesthesia doctors.
If your child is in pain or has had an injury, we accommodate emergency visits for patients who need help right away.
What Sets Us Apart?
Our pediatric dentists receive extensive training to treat the medical, developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs of your growing child. The Pediatric Dentistry clinic at Eastman Dental provides specialized oral health care for children with developmental disabilities.
We participate in many insurance plans, including Medicaid and Child Health Plus, which cover many of the services your child might need. Eastman Dental Center provides dental exams required to enroll in Head Start programs.
