Alexandra Tsigarida, D.D.S., M.S.

TsigaridaDr. Alexandra Tsigarida earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2008 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens-Dental School.Following her dental training she moved to the United Kingdom where she practiced as a general dentist. A year later she entered the Periodontal program at the Ohio State University where she was appointed Chief resident. She received a Certificate in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree in 2013.

Throughout her training and practice, Dr. Tsigarida has been active in promoting dentistry through her involvement in dental research focusing on the microbiology of peri-implantitis. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and recognized by receiving  multiple awards in international research meetings. Dr. Tsigarida is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and an active member of several national dental organizations including the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, ITI (International Team for Implantology) and International Association of Dental Research.

Dr. Tsigarida served as an Assistant Professor at Kornberg School of Dentistry, Temple University from 2013-2015. She is currently Program Director and an Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Eastman Institute for Oral Health and maintains a faculty practice limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants.
