University of Rochester Science Policy Initiative
The University of Rochester Science Policy Initiative is a group of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows that are passionate about science and public policy.
We organize various skill building events and workshops so that trainees can get hands on experience with science policy. In addition, we host seminars to facilitate discussion about science policy, better understand key issues that the nation and local government is facing and provide an opportunity to explore different career paths.

Opinion Piece Competition in Collaboration with the Democrat and Chronicle
Students have the opportunity to write an opinion piece on any social issue that relates to science which will then be judged by the editors of the D&C. Three contestants will be chosen to win cash prizes and the opportunity it publish in the D&C!
