This money will be added to the total amount raised during Wilmot Warrior Weekend which is currently standing at $739,633. This money will go towards supporting research and survivorship efforts through the Wilmot Cancer Center. Wilmot Warrior Weekend - Frisch Lab and Friends 1000 Cranes Fundraiser

Tuesday, August 26, 2025

This year, the Frisch lab is holding a fundraiser that benefits cancer research and the survivorship program at the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Institute (WCI) as part of the Wilmot Warrior Weekend happening on September 27th – 28th.

Our small lab was established through generous donations to WCI, which enabled us to make discoveries and create tools to improve outcomes for people with leukemia.

This year, we took inspiration from the Story of Sadako Sasaki, a survivor of the atomic bomb of Hiroshima in 1945. She and her friends folded 1000 cranes as a wish to be healed from leukemia. We prepared a storybook about her story and our fundraiser.

For every $10 you donate to the Frisch Lab members and friends, we will fold 1 origami crane. We hope to get to 1000 cranes.

Please consider donating today!
