Interplay Lab Study
Interplay Lab Study
Researchers from the University of Rochester are developing new computer technologies that enrich sign language environments for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) children. We need help to get feedback about the new computer technologies we developed in supporting parent-child interaction in ASL in early childhood.
Goal
Collect feedback of a newly developed computer technology that helps hearing parents to sign ASL on-the-fly when interacting with their DHH children.
Who
Hearing parents and their DHH children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Time & Location
Up to 1.5 hours at Wegmans Hall, River Campus, University of Rochester.
Compensation
$50/hour (parking fee will be covered), up to $50 travel expense for participants outside of Rochester
Activity
Hearing parents and their child will be engaged with some toy play sessions, while using the computer technology. We will interview the parents for feedback about the technology.
