Mostafa Mohamed, M.B.B.Ch.
What Does Your Research Focus On?
My research focuses on the intersection of cancer and aging, with a particular focus on improving health outcomes for older adults with cancer through the lens of pharmacoepidemiology. I investigate critical issues such as polypharmacy and the use of high-risk medications in this vulnerable population, aiming to understand how these factors influence health outcomes. Additionally, my work addresses treatment decision-making processes, including chemotherapy dosing, treatment tolerability, and the efficacy of various cancer therapeutics. My research seeks to optimize therapeutic strategies, minimize adverse effects, and enhance the quality of care for older adults with cancer.
