The Division of Medical Humanities and Bioethics offers a Master's Degree Program (MS) in Medical Humanities. This graduate program provides fundamental training in Medical Humanities. Students learn about methods and materials from selected humanities and arts disciplines, and apply this knowledge in theory and in practice to contemporary issues in healthcare. The multidisciplinary field of Medical Humanities provides diverse perspectives on the art of patient care with particular focus on the patient and the practitioner, and the personal values, beliefs and feelings of each, and to understanding the social and cultural contexts that shape the knowledge, behaviors and attitudes of both.
