Strong Memorial Hospital Education

Most of our teaching in the hospital is done by our Bioethics faculty. Members of the Clinical Ethics Consult team lead ethics rounds and nursing huddles in most of the ICU units and several other hospital units. These rounds and huddles aim to discuss current and recent cases of ethical concern. One goal is to teach about ethical approaches to concrete cases and to consider possible “next steps” in active cases. Classic cases may be discussed as examples, and hospital policies are reviewed.
