Recovery

Recovery from the surgical pain is approximately 1-2 weeks depending on the type of surgery that was completed. The nerve itself heals about 1 mm per day, which equates to approximately 1 inch per month. For example, if a nerve that assists with hand control is injured in the forearm approximately 6 inches above the hand, it will take about 6 months to see improvement of the function of the hand affected.
