Histotechnology Advanced Certificate Gets Green Light
The School of Medicine and Dentistry has approved the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine’s plan to create an Advanced Certificate in Histotechnology Program.
The program aims to take a step toward solving the workforce shortage of state-licensed histotechnologists. There is only one program currently training histotechnologists in New York. Our program will develop fully prepared, high-quality graduates and provide the valuable additions to a lab workforce in need of their expertise.
