Dr. Marc Berliant is Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine. He is the Co-Chair of the Clinical Quality Committee of the Finger Lakes Preferred Provider System, a thirteen county organization which is part of the New York State initiative to improve the quality of care for Medicaid patients. Dr. Berliant attended medical school at the University of Illinois School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at URMC. He has led several hospital and community initiatives to enhance the safety and quality of care for patients in the Rochester area. Dr. Berliant’s professional interests include new models of health care delivery and improving equity in health care.
