The physician had 3 questions on 3 separate 8 1/2" x 11" posters which focused my attention and I answered them quickly taking responsibility for what I could do to help my condition (walking and breathing exercises). Every physician should adopt Dr. Rosenblatt's protocol.

Dr. Rosenblatt is very considerate! I came in with a mask. He put on his mask even though I said it was not necessary for him to do so. I learned from him that as long as everyone in the room was wearing the light mask, which he and I were, they would be effective; however, he recommended the N95.

I was incredibly impressed with Dr. Rosenblatt's willingness and ability to speak to me like a colleague. I know the medical field is starting to turn towards a more cooperative model of patient care, but this is one of the very best examples I've seen. Dr. Rosenblatt seemed genuinely interested my questions and my priorities for recovery, and he was able to tailor his suggestions and advice to those specifics easily. More and more as I've grown older, I've felt like medicine really should be a team effort between the patient as the expert in what they're feeling (hopefully!), and the doctor as the expert in medical knowledge and treatment. I felt like that was happening in this visit in a way I haven't felt before, possibly ever. Dr. Rosenblatt walked in already expecting me to give the data and him to sift it and put the puzzle together, and that's exactly what happened. Especially for a patient like myself with an analytical mind that wants to follow the process of the differential, this was an ideal visit. I was very pleased. Thank you, Dr. Rosenblatt! It's been a while since I felt like a provider both actually listened to my patient history and actually used it when making decisions.
