Janine is a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Advanced Heart Failure at University of Rochester Medicine Cardiac Care. Janine cares for patients with a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) as a treatment for their heart failure. Janine received her Master of Science in Nursing from Nazareth College in 2014.

Janine began as an LVAD NP Coordinator in 2018. Her prior experience includes caring for patients through their heart failure journey as a Nurse Practitioner on the Inpatient Advanced Heart Failure Unit. Since then, Janine received her VAD certification in 2023 as well as awards for excellence in mechanical circulatory support in 2021 and again in 2026.

Janine has presented at national and local conferences on managing complex complications post LVAD. Janine completed a display poster for the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs (ASAIO) on our outcomes and management in elective total joint replacement in 2025. Janine is committed to partnering with patients and their families to ensure they receive compassionate, evidence-based care. Together, striving to achieve the best possible cardiovascular health outcomes, always prioritizing an improved quality of life.
