Dr. Mary DeSain is an Assistant Professor in Clinical Medicine at URMC. She is a Rochester native who received her M.D. at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and then completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of Rochester. She subsequently served as Chief Resident for the internal medicine program before joining the General Medicine Division at URMC in 2016. Dr. DeSain served as the director of the quality improvement and patient safety education for the internal medicine residency program from 2016-2021. She is particularly interested in resident education, patient satisfaction, quality improvement and patient safety.
