I have been gaslighted by other doctors for years. I am grateful that I have changed my female doctor who referred me to Dr. Megan Burns. I felt comfortable, things were explained, she made it very clear that the steps going forward depended on my choices, I didn't feel pressured, and I felt informed and confident to make a decision with her.

My doctor was very thorough in explaining the options for my surgery and explained why we should leave at least one ovary in and helped me understand the benefits of leaving one in, while not making me feel invalidated. I feel like I have thorough informed consent for my surgery and the recovery process, understanding the risks and what it will all be like.
