• Minimally Invasive Thoracic & Abdominal Surgery

Area of Special Interest
• Benign & Malignant Disease
• Translational Research
• Clinical Trials

I was immediately drawn to thoracic and foregut surgery after my first exposure at Emory University. Since that time, my passion for this specialty has only intensified and I consider it a true calling. The field is rapidly growing and advancing. The ability to use minimally invasive techniques in combination with new medical treatments makes it a very exciting specialty to be a part of. I treasure the opportunity to have an immediate positive impact on my patients’ quality of life. I am excited to have the opportunity to use the latest tools and resources to treat both benign and malignant disease. We are lucky to be able to leverage all the resources available at URMC to advance our field and help our patients.

Ultimately, however, patients are at the center of what drew me into medicine, and into the specialty of thoracic surgery specifically. I get the most gratification out of taking a team approach to navigate towards the best possible outcomes for our patients. I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to treat patients with thoracic and foregut disease, and I look forward to exhausting every possible means to help patients achieve their goals.
