Kaitlyn Chin, DO is a double board-certified physiatrist and sports medicine physican who also specializes in limb loss/amputation medicine.

She earned her medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. She completed her internship at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. She then completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab/ McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She has provided sideline coverage for Northwestern University D1 athletics including the Women’s Lacrosse team during their run to the NCAA National Championship Finals in 2025, adaptive sports, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and served as team medical lead for SkyRise Chicago.

Dr. Chin specializes in non-operative management of musculoskeletal injuries in both athletes and non-athletes alike. She enjoys collaborating with her patients to support them in injury prevention, recovery, and maintaining an active lifestyle. Her clinical interests include adaptive/Para sports medicine, musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional ultrasound, orthobiologics, female athletes, and limb loss/amputation medicine. Her current research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of acute and chronic injuries in lacrosse players.
