Dr. Mohamed Kamel Hussein is an Assistant Professor of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery who cares for people with conditions of the lungs, esophagus, and chest. He uses advanced minimally invasive procedures—including robotic and video-assisted techniques—to help patients recover more quickly and comfor...
Dr. Mohamed Kamel Hussein is an Assistant Professor of Thoracic and Foregut Surgery who cares for people with conditions of the lungs, esophagus, and chest. He uses advanced minimally invasive procedures—including robotic and video-assisted techniques—to help patients recover more quickly and comfortably.

Dr. Hussein brings extensive expertise to his work and has authored over 160 publications in the field. With more than 18 years of training and experience—including residencies in general surgery and surgical oncology, as well as fellowships in cardiothoracic and advanced thoracic surgery—Dr. Hussein combines surgical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered approach. He believes every patient deserves the same care he would give a family member and is dedicated to supporting patients and their families through every step of care.
