When your child needs surgery, even for something routine, it can be a confusing and frightening time. Compassion and communication are essential to providing the best possible care. This includes taking the time to explain each child’s condition, helping families know what to expect, and being a resource for families inside and outside of the hospital. My goal is to provide the same exceptional care to my patients I would want for my own children.

I chose pediatric surgery because of the deep impact it has on children and families, and the gratification it brings to help a child heal and return to a joyful, active life. For children who need ongoing care, I strive to build lasting relationships with families to support their child’s growth and well-being.

I specialize in caring for children with a wide range of surgical conditions, from rare congenital disorders in newborns to more common diagnoses like hernias and appendicitis. I have a particular interest in congenital conditions of the chest and aerodigestive system, including esophageal atresia, congenital diaphragmatic hernias, cystic lung malformations, and pectus excavatum.

I offer my patients advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including robot-assisted procedures and single-incision laparoscopy. This allows children with a wide variety of conditions to recover faster and with less pain. Every child is unique, and benefits from a personalized approach based on their unique needs.

Outside of the operating room, I am committed to improving patient care through advocacy, research, and quality improvement. I am fortunate to partner with an incredible, multidisciplinary team of specialists at Golisano Children’s Hospital to ensure every child receives outstanding care.
