Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Morse is an internal medicine physician and researcher with special skills, training, and experience regarding women with co-morbid substance use disorders, under-treated medical conditions, trauma history, domestic violence, and criminal legal involvement. She also has extensive experience as an educator and researcher in medical communication. Research

Dr. Morse is currently engaged in health services research in a project entitled "Women's Initiative Supporting Health" (WISH). A subset of WISH is the clinical project, Women's Initiative Supporting Health-Transitions Clinic (WISH-TC). She is investigating methods to support physical and mental health among women with criminal involvement through grants from the National Institute of Health's National Institute on Drug Abuse, the McGowan Charitable Fund, and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
