Biography

Dr Monk practices in General Nephrology with a special interest in Kidney Stone and Bone and Mineral Disorders.

Professional Background

Dr Monk been practicing Nephrology at the University of Rochester for over twenty years. She has a passion for teaching and is actively involved in the education of medical students, internal medicine residents and Nephrology fellows.
While she continues to find inpatient Nephrology exciting, she relishes the long-term relationships she has developed with long-standing clinic and dialysis patients. She appreciates the patient –physician collaboration and trust required to improve the patient's experience in their treatment.
Dr Monk established the CRRT program at URMC. Areas of interest include Critical Care Nephrology, Nephrolithiasis and geriatric Nephrology.
