Patient Care Setting

Dr. Jeffrey Yaeger is committed to providing high quality care to all hospitalized children, with a special interest in conditions such as pneumonia, osteomyelitis, sepsis and infants with fever. He is particularly interested in providing care for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, identifying barriers to optimal health and leveraging resources to overcome those challenges.

Dr. Jeffrey Yaeger's research interests are to integrate social determinants of health with clinical decision-making to more optimally assess disease risk, improve outcomes, mitigate health and health care disparities, and utilize medical resources more judiciously. He is particularly interested in utilizing data mining techniques to better harness the vast clinical data available in electronic medical records to develop and evaluate predictive models which can be incorporated into clinical tools to be used at the point-of-care.
