Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Aloisio is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician and Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. He has worked at the University of Rochester since 2011 and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

He studied Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and graduated with honors in 2007. He obtained his MD from Michigan State University in 2011 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester in 2014. In 2020, he earned his MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

He is passionate about Global Health and has collaborated with Rochester's Seneca Park Zoo in support of their international conservation initiatives. In 2013, he traveled to Borneo, Indonesia to work and teach at an isolated clinic in a remote rainforest community. He has previously served on medical missions to Haiti and Peru.

He was recently elected by his peers to the Faculty Senate of the University of Rochester and is currently serving a three-year term. The 45-member Senate functions as a channel of communication between Faculty and University leadership.
