Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Aloisio is a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. He has served at the University of Rochester since 2011 and is currently a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

He studied Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo and graduated with honors in 2007. He obtained his MD from Michigan State University in 2011 and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2014. In 2020, he earned his MBA from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

He is passionate about Global Health and has worked with Rochester's Seneca Park Zoo in support of their international conservation initiatives. In 2013, he traveled to Borneo, Indonesia to work and teach at a remote and isolated clinic. He has also previously served on medical missions to Haiti and Peru.

He also has special interests in Health Education and Geriatric Medicine. He was recognized as the Best Faculty Discussant at the CORD National Emergency Medicine Clinical Pathologic Case Final Competition in Washington, DC in 2017. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Geriatric Faculty Scholars Grant and continues to serve as a champion of Geriatric care at Highland Hospital.
