Injury-Free Coalition for Kids
We have furthered our mission to humanity by actively engaging ourselves in the health of kids in Rochester through the Injury-Free Coalition for Kids.
Frank and Caroline Gannett Emergency Department
In March 2001, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, opened its doors to the largest and most modern emergency facility in the region. This upgraded center was designed to provide rapid emergency care to both adults and children.
The center has been designated by the New York State Department of Health as a Level 1 Regional Trauma Center, which is the highest level of designation achievable.
Highland Hospital Emergency Department
Our recently commissioned emergency department spans 17,551 square feet and houses 26 acute care patient beds. In addition to these beds, both of our Clinical Care Units include a "Fast-Track" unit designed to treat and release patients with minor conditions. This enables us to expedite their treatment and address the growing national concern of crowded emergency departments.
What Sets Us Apart?

Our team of investigators and staff collaborates locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally to conduct research across basic, translational, and clinical domains. Our research is generously supported by a range of federal, state, foundation, and industry sponsors.
