Biography

Professional Background

Julia Burke is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in pediatric hematology and oncology. She sees patients for routine chemotherapy, oncologic emergencies, and sickle cell disease management. She is passionate about taking time to listen to families and support patient values. She is inspired by how courageous children are and the ability for families to come together to take care of the children in our communities. Her clinical interests include solid tumors, sickle cell disease, palliative care, and providing a supportive network for families.

She earned her undergraduate degree at Ithaca College. She received a Master of Physiology degree at Georgetown University and a Master of Medical Science degree at Yale University. She became a physician assistant in 2020 and was excited to plant her roots in Rochester where she has since worked with the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology group.
