Biography

I am interested in patients with neurological as well as sleep disorders. In particular, the areas where these two specialties coincide, such as in children with Autism, ADHD, or migraines and sleep difficulties, are of particular interest to me.

Research

~ Sufficient sleep and its relationship to success in school, as well as its relationship to obesity.

~ Using educational programs which teach parents about good sleep habits and the importance of sleep as a means to prevent the development of sleep disorders

~ Finding more effective ways to help children with developmental disorders become better sleepers

~ Using alternative therapies, such as biofeedback, self-hypnosis, and relaxation techniques, to help with chronic conditions such as insomnia and migraine
