Jennifer Serventi has been a neuro oncology physician assistant and research associate since 1998 and has been at the University of Rochester since 2007, with a faculty position as a physician assistant and senior research associate. There she has worked to build the largest clinical and research brain tumor program in the state outside of the metro NY area. In addition to managing the day-to-day care of around 100 new primary brain tumor patients each year, she has been focusing on telemedicine initiatives. In May 2016, Jennifer earned her Master’s degree in Leadership in Healthcare Systems at the University of Rochester School of Nursing. For her final project, she designed the Neuro-Oncology Connect Telemedicine Program, through which she and her team provide expert brain tumor treatment and access to clinical trials for patients throughout rural New York State. She is currently developing a regional remote tumor board and is looking for ways to increase access to clinical trials through the use of telehealth platforms.

Jennifer spends a large portion of her time in research activities. Throughout her career, Jennifer has facilitated and coordinated over 50 clinical trials associated with brain tumor treatment. She has a passion for teaching patients and other medical providers about the advancements made in the treatment of this rare disease and hopes someday to see a cure. She lives in Webster, NY with her husband and four sons.
