Laine received her BS in Biology from the University at Albany and her BSN from Binghamton University. After being a pediatric staff nurse at Golisano Children's Hospital, she went on to pursue her MS degree. She graduated from University of Rochester School of Nursing with her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree in 2014. She has prior experience as a pediatric primary care provider in the greater Rochester community and is part of our pediatric otolaryngology team. Laine leads the Pediatric Tracheostomy and Home Ventilator Program, providing support to ENT and pulmonology, both inpatient and outpatient.

I am a pediatric nurse practitioner, specializing in ENT and the care of children with a tracheostomy. My professional focus is leading our pediatric tracheostomy and home ventilator team in the inpatient and outpatient settings. I focus on shared decision making and patient and family engagement for medically complex children. My work highlights creating and implementing quality improvement initiatives for this population with a focus on patient safety, care coordination, communication and standardized clinical guidelines and protocols.
