Professional Background

Dr. Pereira received his degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at University of Rochester Medical Center.

He is an attending emergency physician at the University of Rochester Medical Center/Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He current serves as an Assistant Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director.

Research

I am interested in emergency electrocardiography, finding more simple ways to teach complex topics in medical education, improving asynchronous learning, resident development, and providing mentorship to learners from the undergraduate level to residency training.
