Dr. Bartell is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the URMC and is the Director of Clinical Operations for the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division. Dr. Bartell received his medical degree from New York Medical College and was inducted into the Gold Humanism and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. He completed both his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology sub-specialty training at the University of Rochester. He is board certified in Gastroenterology, with advanced training in Cancer Genetics Risk Assessment. Dr. Bartell has clinical expertise in the full spectrum of general gastroenterology, with particular interest in the management of hereditary cancer syndromes. Dr. Bartell also sees patients in the Wilmot Cancer Center Hereditary Cancer Screening and Risk Reduction Program where he provides holistic care for patients at increased risk of cancer.
