Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Pruett serves as co-director of the Maternal Child Health Fellowship, and is a Senior Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine. Originally from Connecticut, she received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her residency training at McKay-Dee Hospital Family Medicine Residency, in Ogden, UT. She then completed the University of Rochester Maternal Child Health Fellowship, and joined the family medicine faculty in 2017. She has a strong interest in medical education, especially teaching obstetrics from a family medicine perspective. She performs high-risk consultations and surgical obstetrics for Highland Family Medicine patients. She also serves as attending for the inpatient medicine service and works in urgent care for URMC.

Dr. Pruett, her husband, and 2 children love living in Rochester. They can frequently be found exploring the parks, playgrounds, splash pads, and museums in the area.
