Professional Background

Prior to joining UR Medicine, Dr. Laryea was an attending physician in the Division of Digestive Care and Endoscopy Multi-Organ Transplant Program, Department of Medicine at QEII Health Science Center in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has also served as an attending physician at the following: Multi-Organ Transplant Program, Department of Surgery at QEII Health Science Center; Hepatology Services, Centre Hospitalier de I'Université de Montréal: Hepatology Services, QEII Health Sciences Center and GI Services at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Frédériction, New Brunswick and Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, New Brunswick. The recipient of several prestigious awards, Dr. Laryea has authored numerous publications and frequently presents on topics related to gastroenterology and hepatology at the national and international levels.
