Dr. Sara Gianfagna is a native of Buffalo, NY. She completed her undergraduate education at Georgetown University, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Psychology. There, she was awarded the departmental Biology Medal. In 2019, she graduated from Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, PA, where she received a dual degree: a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O), and a Master's Degree in Medical Education (MSMEd.). She completed her internship and residency at Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester. She completed a Chief Residency year at URMC (2022-2023). She is interested in medical education for both medical students and residents, focusing on clinical reasoning and bedside examination. She is currently working as a primary care doctor at Strong Internal Medicine.
