Dr. Kayla Correia is a board-certified physician by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience from Smith College. She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine with a focus on primary care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Philosophy
Dr. Correia’s priority is to get to know the personality and unique personal circumstances of each patient in order to provide the best medical care. She places a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine with the ultimate goal of helping patients to live their longest and happiest lives. She is a strong believer in Benjamin Franklin's famous proverb, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Special Interests
In addition to Internal Medicine, Dr. Correia's interests include mental health, LGBTQ+ health, obesity medicine, and medical education.

On a Personal Note
In her free time, Dr. Correia enjoys gardening and growing her own food, teaching herself to knit, baking sourdough bread, and walking her mischievous dog Arlo around the neighborhood.
