Dissemination & Implementation Research

This field bridges health services and systems research, behavioral health, and evaluations. It involves studying the barriers and facilitators of implementing innovations in healthcare and community settings, development of interventions and strategies to address barriers, assessing the impact of those strategies and achievement of implementation outcomes. New collaborations are being developed between faculty members in this fields. Examples include a newly funded grant at VA (Orna Intrator) to study the implementation of Hospital in Home program at VA sites, and a newly funded pilot study (Katrina Korfmacher) to explore the process of network development through regional implementation of sewage water monitoring of COVID19. Reza Yousefi Nooraie is a co-lead in the equity-focused dissemination and implementation (EQ-DI) Function at CTSI, through which he builds capacity and engages in new initiatives locally, nationally, and internationally to promote the science of dissemination and implementation with an emphasis on health equity. - Reza Yousefi Nooraie
