Welcome to the Office of Academic Affairs

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster the individual and collective vitality of our faculty by supporting them across every stage of their academic careers.

We provide guidance and oversight on faculty appointments, promotion and tenure, career flexibility, professionalism, academic leaves, faculty development, and conflict of interest management. In addition, we advise and support department chairs, center directors, and other school leaders, including through executive search processes, and serve as a resource for shared governance through the School of Medicine and Dentistry Faculty Council (SMDFC).
