Surgical Health Outcomes
Research Enterprise (SHORE)
At SHORE, we believe better research leads to better surgery for every patient, in every community.
We advance surgical outcomes science and translate findings into real-world practice guidelines and health policy at local, regional, and national levels. Our work is collaborative by design: we bring together researchers, clinicians, and community stakeholders to tackle surgical outcome disparities and make sure all voices shape the research process.
Furthermore, we are deeply invested in the next generation of surgical leaders. Our fellows gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge methods, grant writing mentorship, and a research community that has collectively produced 150+ manuscripts and numerous book chapters across surgical subspecialties.
Whether you're a trainee looking to launch your research career or a partner seeking rigorous, community-centered science, SHORE is where that work happens.
