Launched in 2020, the Surgical Value Incubator is a value-based care program focused on improving surgical quality while reducing waste and cost. Through a disciplined, data-driven approach, the program partners with clinical and operational leaders to deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes, resource utilization, and financial stewardship.

The Surgical Value Incubator brings together a multidisciplinary team with expertise in quality improvement, implementation science, and informatics to translate evidence into sustainable practice change. By establishing this dedicated entity, the Department of Surgery has assumed a national leadership role in advancing high-value surgical care.
