AUA2023

A Message from Dr. Jean Joseph, Chairman, Department of Urology
As a department, we constantly renew our commitment to patient centered care and innovation.
We focus on delivering care of the highest quality, while pursuing innovative research and educating the next generation of residents.
At the recent American Urological Association (AUA) meeting in Chicago, our department leadership in these areas were most evident. Our faculty member, past chairman Dr. Edward Messing, served as AUA president overseeing an organization of over 15,000 members. Our faculty and trainees participated in a historic 45 presentations, with several of them earning first place in their respective sections. These are important efforts from our team to advance the academic mission.
Dr. Ronald Rabinowitz orchestrated the AUA History exhibit and participated in a number of presentations. His contributions led to his selection of the AUA William P. Didusch Art & History Award.
In the spirit of Meliora, we will continue to ask collectively "How can we do better?" in our pursuit of patient centered innovative care, research, and education.
