High-Throughput Screening (HTS)

The High-Throughput Screening (HTS) Shared Resource (HTS-SR) provides access to automated instrumentation, high-throughput screening technologies, compound libraries, and scientific expertise to support a broad range of biomedical research. The facility offers instrument access, assay development, screening, data analysis, and scientific consultation to help researchers efficiently evaluate compounds, identify promising candidates, and advance their research.

Unlike many screening approaches that evaluate compounds at a single concentration, the SFSR performs 10-point dose-response screening for each compound. This approach provides a more comprehensive assessment of compound activity, enabling researchers to evaluate potency, dose dependence, and response patterns rather than simply identifying whether a compound is active or inactive. This richer dataset can help prioritize promising candidates for follow-up studies and support more informed decisions during the drug discovery process.
