Blood and Marrow Transplantation

Wilmot’s FACT-accredited blood and marrow transplant program is one of the largest in upstate New York.


Cancer patients who receive chemotherapy as part of their treatment may be at increased risk for cardiotoxicity and vascular disease. Wilmot Cancer Institute partners with UR Medicine Heart and Vascular to to address these issues through their unique Cardio-Oncology Program.

Fertility Services

UR Medicine's Strong Fertility Center works with your oncologist to offer counseling, fertility prognosis, and fertility preservation options that consider your individual circumstances before and after therapy.

Geriatric Oncology

Our nationally recognized Geriatric Oncology clinic is dedicated to providing individualized care and to improving cancer treatment for older adults.

Hereditary Cancer Screening and Risk Reduction Program

This clinic helps guide and support patients and families with inherited cancer syndromes or a family history of cancer.

Lung Cancer Screening Program

The Lung Cancer Screening Program can detect cancer at an earlier stage, when it is small and before it has spread, it is more likely to be successfully treated.

Pain Management Services

Our goal is to improve cancer patient’s overall quality of life and return to an optimal functional state with the help of multimodal pain treatment strategies.

Palliative Care

Palliative care focuses on alleviating the pain and symptoms — such as nausea and shortness of breath — that can come with a serious illness like cancer and its treatment. Sometimes confused with hospice, palliative care is designed to help patients and their families to live better while they’re undergoing treatment.

The first of its kind in the region, Wilmot’s Survivorship Program provides guidance and support as you begin to navigate life after cancer.
