A Message From the Chair, Jack G. Caton, DDS, MS

Dr. Jack Caton

The Department of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery is committed to excellence in patient care, education and research. Outstanding faculty and residents combine to offer cutting edge treatment for periodontal diseases and conditions to save teeth by regenerating new bone support for the dentition. New esthetic smiles are restored by plastic surgical procedures. New types of laser therapy are used to treat periodontal diseases and to restore lost tissue support. Missing teeth and those that cannot be saved are replaced by expertly placed dental implants. Our educational program attracts outstanding dentists from around the world who come to learn the most current knowledge and surgical techniques for periodontal and dental implant therapy.

Finally, our department is recognized internationally for its rich history of research, which has made significant contributions in periodontal and dental implant biology and treatment.
