SPECIALTY CARE DENTAL CLINIC - $1,000,000

As part of our commitment to provide access to high-quality dental care, a new Specialty Care Clinic on the second floor of the Eastman Dental will primarily meet the unique needs of patients who have intellectual or developmental disabilities or complex medical conditions.
Currently, the majority of these patients are not receiving adequate care, as few dentists are equipped to accommodate them. Those who are receiving care are often treated under general anesthesia in an operating room—at greater personal risk and expense than is necessary. This Specialty Care Clinic is our top priority, as all of our dental residents will also receive hands-on training in caring for medically complex patients. Our graduates who incorporate specialty care into their own practice will benefit communities around the world.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINIC - $250,000

To treat the most complex cases, we must collaborate across dental specialties. One of our most critical capital improvements is the addition of a new Multidisciplinary Clinic on the second floor of the Eastman Dental. Our residents will gain valuable experience working together in an integrated, patient-centered clinic. As a collaborative practice model becomes more common in dentistry, our graduates will be innovative industry leaders.

ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY CLINIC IN STRONG MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - $1,000,000

An essential part of our clinical operation, the Clinic at Strong Memorial Hospital will be renovated to better serve patients in need of oral surgery and oral disease treatment. General practice and oral medicine residents will join the oral and maxillofacial surgery residents in an expanded, collaborative clinic with two new sedation rooms and five recovery stations. This renovation will enable us to see nearly twice as many patients, vastly reducing the extensive wait time.

PERIODONTOLOGY & PROSTHODONTICS CLINICS* - $325,000

The Periodontology & Prosthodontics Clinics are currently our most prominent clinical suites on the second floor of the Eastman Dental. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, our coordinated periodontology and prosthodontics departments are improving the health and quality of life for underserved patients throughout the region.

Renovated in 2013, there are still naming opportunities in the Prosthodontics Clinic.

The entire Periodontology Clinic will be renovated to help prevent and treat disease, which has long been our focus.

*As separate opportunities, each clinic is $175,000 to name.

ORAL MEDICINE - $50,000

Oral medicine integrates dentistry and medicine to provide clinical care to patients with a wide variety of orofacial conditions, including oral complications from cancer, infectious or autoimmune diseases, and side effects due to medical treatments, like organ transplantation. Your support of our clinical and administrative spaces will tie your name to a field that is unique in upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania, and that is helping to meet a growing, global health need.

DIRECTOR’S SUITE AND FACULTY OFFICES - $25,000 ‒ $250,000

The Director’s Suite will be a prominent space on the sixth floor of the Eastman Dental, with a functional office for the director as well as an adjoining reception and waiting room, suitable for meetings with important constituents.

A gift to name this Suite honors past, present, and future directors of the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. Our world-renowned faculty members, who are exceptional clinicians and researchers as well as devoted mentors to residents, are the backbone of Eastman. We have far exceeded our capacity for faculty office space in the Eastman Dental.

With this renovation, additional private offices for full-time faculty will help us recruit and retain the very best for each department and specialty.

GENERAL DENTISTRY CLINIC - $500,000

Located on the ground floor at the main entrance to the Eastman Dental, the General Dentistry Clinic is a highly visible patient care area. Of all the clinics at Eastman, General Dentistry has the highest volume of patients, providing advanced dental care to underserved patients across upstate New York. In addition, the Clinic is a training ground for the largest group of dental residents each year. A gift to name the Clinic will greatly improve our facility, adding essential technology upgrades, to enhance resident training and patient care.

LEADERSHIP BOARDROOM - $1,000,000

The Boardroom will be the largest and most prominent meeting room in the Eastman Dental, used for lectures by notable academics and practitioners, training workshops, and exclusive events.

In addition, the Eastman Dental Foundation Board and the Eastman leadership team will meet regularly in this important space.

Located on the seventh floor, the Boardroom will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a dividing wall that will allow us to meet the presentation or meeting needs of external and internal audiences.

COMMUNITY DENTISTRY CLINIC DOWNTOWN - $500,000

Accessible by public transit to serve the population in downtown Rochester, our Community Dentistry Clinic is prominently located on the ground floor of the iconic Sibley Building. General practice residents train here, conducting nearly 12,000 dental visits annually, primarily with Medicaid patients. A gift to name the Clinic will provide additional treatment rooms, further eliminating healthcare disparities. This Clinic is anchoring the retail and office space in Sibley Square, part of a larger revitalization development plan for the city.

ORTHODONTICS ROTUNDA - $300,000

Located on the ground floor at the west entrance to the Eastman Dental, the Orthodontics Rotunda is at the heart of the J. Daniel Subtelny Clinic.

Last renovated in 1997, the Rotunda is an important clinical space for residents to train, while providing advanced orthodontic care to underserved patients across upstate New York.

A gift to name the Rotunda will modernize our facility, including essential technology upgrades, to enhance resident training and patient care.

RESIDENT EDUCATIONAL SUITE - $1,000,000

New to the Eastman Dental, the Educational Suite will provide much-needed areas for residents to socialize, relax, and study. Located on the concourse level, the Suite will be a large, high-traffic gathering spot with both lounge furniture and study carrels in an open, modern design.

A team-based environment is a crucial part of a 21st century education and this Educational Suite will foster important collaboration among once-siloed dental specialties.
