How to Apply

Candidates for residency are selected through the National Resident Matching Program.

Surgeons working on a patientApplication Requirements

  • We accept only electronically submitted application packages via PSCA Application.
  • Three letters of recommendation are required in addition to the Dean's letter. These letters should come from full-time faculty members in plastic surgery. We do not require a minimum USMLE score, although all scores must be passing. While recognizing the USMLE test center limitations during COVID, a USMLE Step II is not required at the time of application.

The selection committee reviews your complete application considering all provided information. The residency program selects the best qualified candidates regardless of their age, sex, race, creed, sexual orientation, national origin or handicap. The selection process focuses on information supplied in the application package: application form, personal statement, Dean's letter, scholastic accomplishments, letters of recommendation, USMLE scores and a personal interview.

Our application deadline is October 31, 2024. Only completed application packages are reviewed. After the Selection Committee has reviewed your completed file, and if you are offered an interview, you will be contacted via Thalamus, GME Interview Scheduling Software, to select a date for your interview.

Per ACAPS uniform invitation policy invitations to interview will be sent on their assigned date. Generally, applicants can choose from three (3) interview dates.
