Human Inhalation Unit
The Human Inhalation Unit consists of a Control Center and a separate temperature- and humidity-controlled Exposure Room. Exposures occur while allowing simulation of normal activities (e.g., sitting or exercising) in the room itself, using a whole body box, or via a mouth piece. Entrance to the Human Inhalation Unit is restricted to investigators and technical personnel who have undergone training in the safe and ethical conduct of human subjects research.
